Dillon, day 175 of my life in DC! Sunday, 2 April 2017

Sunday is NASCAR day and with the sun shining away, the back door is open and we get to come and go as we please. That means that we can watch the race, then race outside to chase the squirrels when they try to invade. It also means that we get to rest. After all the excitement this weekend, I’m exhausted. Even Micky is moving slower than usual. As soon as the sun popped up this morning, Micky was out on the deck, snoozing and she didn’t move for the rest of the morning. Really, the only reason she got up and came inside was that Mom gave us a chewy treat. I’m gonna like summer, I think. I, on the other hand, figured that since it was Sunday, Jennifer would be heading home. So, I tried to make the most of the time left by bringing her my ball so she could chuck it seventy or eighty times. Sure enough, right about lunchtime, Jennifer had to go. Bummer! Okay, time to change things up a bit. Now that we have about six months of my daily adventures, I’m going to start going for quality over quantity. You’re all pretty familiar with my daily activities and there’s not much new from day to day. This is especially true when the weather sucks and we can’t get outside. So, to make sure I keep things fresh, I’m changing the schedule. I’m still going to post all the exciting stuff, but I’m only going to do it a few days a week. (Unless of course, there’s something really exciting to report.) This way, I still give you, the fans, what you want, but I don’t bore you to death with an endless collection of squirrel hunting stories. Believe me though, when I catch one (or Micky does), you’ll hear about it. Besides, if summer is as much fun as I think it is going to be, I’ll be WAY too busy to sit in front of a computer. Maybe once summer really gets going, I’ll step it up again to make sure you hear about all the fun stuff that happens. Thank you for keeping up with my adventures!
